Developed by Akabaka, this sequel to cult-favourite dating sim Sucker for Love: First Date brings us a fresh playable character, monstrous love interests, occult rituals, and more. So far, it has received positive player reception, praising the increase in suspense and fleshed-out storyline. Blending visual novel gameplay, point-and-click exploration, and retro anime art, Date to Die For brings us a four-chapter story where we’ll find ourselves kidnapped after investigating mysterious disappearances in our hometown. Our protagonist is an asexual BIPOC woman named Stardust who finds herself in the possession of a cultist’s spellbook, which allows her to summon Rhok’zan, the Black Goat of the Woods. Will this summoning lead to love, though? Only one way to find out.
