THEA500 Mini is the Latest Classic to Return
Coming from the makers of the C64 Mini, Retro Games Ltd, the Amiga is making a return with THEA500 Mini.
Designed to look like the 16-bit computer, the Amiga 500 originally released in 1987, it's a fraction of the size meaning that the keyboard is merely cosmetic. To get a feeling for exactly how big it is, Retro Games Ltd released an image of it alongside the two-button mouse and four-button controller that come bundled with the device.
The device has three USB ports, an HDMI port, and a USB-C port. Of course, this means you can use the spare USB port to add a keyboard, or a USB stick to add your own games.
In this mini version of THEA500®, we have created what we believe gaming fans will love, and will see as the evolution of mini games consoles.
-Paul Andrews, Managing Director, Retro Games
THEA500 will come bundled with 25 games, and they have announced 12 of them:
- Alien Breed 3D
- Another World
- ATR: All Terrain Racing
- Battle Chess
- Cadaver
- Kick Off 2
- Pinball Dreams
- Simon The Sorcerer
- Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe
- The Chaos Engine
- Worms: The Director's Cut
- Zool: Ninja Of The Nth Dimension
There are also save states, filters and more, filling out the features.

Back in the day, the Amiga 500 was my favorite machine. Apple had 16 colors (with the exception of the ][GS, which i want to say was a clone of the Amiga in many ways), PCs had 16 and were heading for more but the 500 was already out there and breaking barriers really fast. I used to love all those pirate intros, they were some of the best part of gaming. Everybody had friends who swapped, we all know it :) But the Amiga was the first computer to feel like you had a mini-arcade in your own room. I'll probably get one but wait until the price drops a little as i don't (yet) know how many games it will run.

My dad had an A2000 (none of my friends believed me), and yes I totally agree that pirated games had some banging midi files.
I would hope that it can run all of the games tha A500 could, but that's a good point, we don't actually know for certain.
