Twin Mirror - Mind Palaces and Hidden Personalities in Small-Town America

Life is Strange developer DONTNOD's first self-published title, Twin Mirror, is nearing release. The tale of ex-investigative journalist Sam Higgs will be available for all on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC (via Epic Games Store) on the 1st December. Pre-Orders are open now on all platforms.

Like the studio's earlier games, Twin Mirror sets out to paint a portrait of small-town America; this time, it's the fictional Basswood, West Virginia. No longer is this an adolescent's perspective, however (a la Life is Strange), but the perspective of a grown man with years of experience (and trauma) under his belt. As Sam revisits his hometown for his best friend's funeral, he discovers that things aren't quite as they seem.

With the use of his journalist's deductive skills, a few dips into his Sherlock-style mind palace and the influence of his empathetic 'hidden' personality, Sam looks to uncover the darkness lurking inside Basswood. It's a story with big decisions and bigger consequences: this is DONTNOD through and through.

Twin Mirror launches on the 1st December for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC (exclusive to the Epic Games Store for one year). Full PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X backwards compatibility is confirmed.
