Warframe's The War Within Update Hits Record Numbers

Digital Extremes were hoping to reinvigorate their player base by releasing The War Within, an update to their hit MMO Warframe. They might have had a suspicion that the new addition to the title was going to be popular, but nobody could have predicted just how popular it was. The game has had a huge surge in players, entering the Steam top three most played last weekend. This was achieved by way of hitting more than 1.2 million hours played in a single day and a new all-time high of 68,530 concurrent users. 

The War Within update contains the highly-anticipated cinematic quest continuing the saga started in last December’s The Second Dream – the game's most played update to date – and drives players to embark on a chilling journey featuring multiple new missions, planets and stunning story-driven cinematics.
