CI Games Announces Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts

CI Games Announces Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts

CI Games the team behind the long-running Sniper Ghost Warrior series has announced its next entry titled: Contracts. With the next entry take the series in a new direction and abandoning the open-world groundwork laid by the unfortunate previous entry. This time, CI Games are focusing on bringing mechanics that “delivers tense, mission-based scenarios with CI Games’ best sniping ever.”

Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts will focus on bringing straightforward objective-based missions, which also offer secondary objectives on top which offer additional bonuses and rewards. Furthermore, each contract also offers replayability at increased difficulty for a greater challenge or to allow for the purse of different strategies.

Remarking on the unsuccessful launch of Sniper Ghost Warrior 3, CI Games CEO Marek Tyminski explained that their 3rd entry was “too ambitious” and resulted in a rushed development, leaving a sour taste with its numerous issues. With Contracts, the team want to redeem themselves by aiming to provide a more focused gameplay.

“We’ve learned from our missteps. Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts will be more focused on emergent gameplay with an open-ended mission design that the team feels strongly about, but it will not be set in an open world. It is going to be a more tactical, more condensed experience and the game will offer plenty of replayability, both on the single-player campaign and on the multiplayer modes.”

No word on official release date, however, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts will be available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One sometime in 2019.
