PC Gaming Show 2023: Dune: Awakening Interview & Gameplay

Closing out the PC Gaming Show experience was an intricate look at the highly-anticipated MMO brought to us by Funcom. Dune: Awakening is upcoming open-world survival MMO that invites players to intimately involve themselves with the world of Dune. Start with almost nothing to your name on the most dangerous planet in the universe, and go on to familiarise yourself with the vast cities and political landscapes that Dune has to offer.

The closing trailer featured an extended interview with Joel Bylos, the Creative Director behind Dune: Awakening, as well as Game Director, Viljar Sommerbakk. They go into detail about the progression of the game, and how players can immerse themselves in the world of Dune: Awakening as they garner more and more power — then try desperately to keep hold of it.

Build your own legend amongst the ever-shifting sands of planet Arrakis. Discover new locations, battle against rival factions, and involve yourself in the political quagmire of this treacherous planet in Dune: Awakening, which is set to launch for Windows, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 4 at an undisclosed date in the future.
