My 10 Top Love Interests in Date Everything!

My 10 Top Love Interests in Date Everything!

With it being Valentine’s Day, I couldn’t resist going back to Date Everything! after it basically stole my soul when it first came out. But what to do here? Well, I thought I would take the time to go through my favourite love interests in the title. Specifically, the most wholesome and charming ones I loved the most. As a companion, I’ve also included those I’ve deemed the most… toxic. Of course, that’ll be a separate article which you can read here.

With that, let’s jump in! And of course, there will be spoilers ahead.

Chance

Chance

Chance always has the benefit of being voiced by Matthew Mercer, but he’s also by far one of my top Dateables for a reason. He may be a d20, but he’s also a loveable nerd, and he just wants someone to roleplay with. I love him so much, and there’s no pressure; he’s just there to have a good time and play G&G (Grottos & Gargoyles, as a little play on Dungeons & Dragons) with.

Betty

While Betty is one of the first Dateables you meet, I also found her one of the most interesting. There’s a lot of sexual tension, but she also respects the ace life, too, and I respect that solidarity. It’s up to you to advise her on how to handle her feelings for a mysterious being whom she struggles to convey her thoughts to, but she’s only there for advice. She doesn’t put it all on you, and by all accounts, she’s just so lovely to every single person you meet.

Kopi

I love coffee, and Kopi is literally your coffee machine. She loves teaching about coffee, and I really liked learning about the different types. Her whole goal is breaking out from the corporate shackles that control her, and hey, I get it. Getting people what they need doesn’t always equate to great customer service, and Kopi likes to take her time learning about her customers. She’s sweet, and I appreciate that.

Dasha

Dasha

Your noble desk. Dasha is a strong, muscular Russian woman who appears to give the best hugs out of every character. She is happy to supply love advice, and even goes on multiple dates with you to ensure that you know how to date. She’s wholesome, and inevitably, falls for you when you’ve succeeded in all of her scenarios. She’s the hype woman you need in your corner, and she does it so effortlessly.

Shadow is one of those characters who doesn’t want to admit he’s adorable — but he is. While his original form is intimidating, his Skips form is essentially a cute emo nerd. He’s respectful, referring to you as his Penumbra, and is a big fan of roleplaying. Sure, he has some issues with letting go of others after losing everyone to the passage of time, but he’s cool with you… unless you refuse, but ignoring his ultra edgelord Hate ending, he’s relatable, and he’s sweet.

Curt and Rod

image8

Your curtain and curtain rod are some of the coolest Dateables in the house, and they’re not afraid to throw shade. In fact, they’ll teach you how to do so. So long as you know how to without being a dick. Along with having some hilarious dialogue they will discuss the idea of a relationship with you as long as it’s as a throuple? Well, it’s a fun time.

Dante

image7

There’s a joke I can make about a childhood crush on Zuko from Avatar: The Last Airbender here, but I’ll let that go. Instead, I have a lot of love for Dante that’s similar to the way I looked at Dasha. The two of them are wholesome, sweet, and are there to encourage you, the player. I enjoyed my lessons with Dante, and his pick-up lines were corny but also so sweet. He is 100% there in your corner, and I love him so much.

Daisuke

Daisuke

Daisuke will make you swoon. He may only be porcelain, but the fact that he caught my character as they fell, and then wrote poetry as he got to know me? I’m sorry, but Daisuke is beautiful, he’s kind, and he’s honourable. There are no issues with Daisuke here, and I will not have any libel of this man on this part of the internet.

Mateo

image9

The entire plotline of Mateo looking for his little animals, adopting them, and running a rescue centre is the sweetest possible thing. He’s just here to look after strays, and he’s a blanket. He exudes cosiness, and I just can’t let that go. I, too, would want a relationship where I could adopt a bunch of animals and look after them, so he goes high on the list.

Dorian

Dorian

The best friend anyone can have: a door. Oh, you all knew I was going to be biased about a Ben Starr character; we know how much I love his work. But Dorian is amazing. I really liked speaking to all his different iterations, and honestly… I have only two words: Trap Dorian. That is all (that and the man encompasses the power of friendship, and that’s just ridiculously wholesome).

I should note that this list isn’t actually in a particular order. There are over 100 Dateables in Date Everything!, so you might not agree with my list. This is purely subjective, and there are plenty of characters whom I wish I could add, that just didn’t quite make the cut this time. Do you have any favourites? Join me in gushing about them here in the comments below!
