BlizzCon 2021 Online - Overwatch 2 Talent Trees Overview

Following on from a reveal at BlizzCon 2019, Overwatch Lead Designer Jeff Kaplan expanded further on the Talent tree feature that will be present in Overwatch 2. Each hero has their own unique and incredibly deep talent trees that can be unlocked through playing the hero, levelling them up, and delegating your points how you want to in order to fit your playstyle. The introduction of the Talents has allowed the team to 'break all the rules’ that building for competitive play had set up for them, allowing them to add abilities to heroes that are downright absurd, such as Junkrat dual-wielding grenade launchers, or Mercy being able to group-revive from long ranges.
