The President of Nintendo and the President of Ubisoft opened Ubisoft's E3 conference with the official announcement of Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, bringing two life size replica weapons from the game. Miyamoto professed his love for the Rabbids, and said that his only request for the crossover game be that it was a game like nothing that has come before it.
Xavier Manzanares, producer of Mario + Rabbids followed the two presidents - the definition of a tough act to follow - with a first look at the early gameplay. What he showed us looked like a tactics RPG, with an overworld you can run around and explore mixed with an XCOM-esque tactical shooter, with terrain destruction, team moves and special movement tools set in the colourful Mario style.
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is set to come out on August 29th on Nintendo Switch.
