Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare II (2022) Short Thoughts #7 - Survival Sections

Let me just say, the areas I'm dubbing "Survival Sections" are easily my least favourite in the whole game. These are parts where you are required to scout an area for supplies, then craft yourself items to continue. Make knives for defence, distractions to avoid enemies, and lock picks to bust open containers and doors.

I can see what Activision was trying to do here and the mechanics in these sections work how they should, however, they simply do not belong in a Call of Duty game. They are just painful to get through and require a ton of both stealth and patience. Luckily there are only two instances of them, but it was the second one in particular that annoyed me. It absolutely destroyed the flow of the action because I had no idea what I needed to do and the two armoured assault rifle-wielding maniacs hunting me were relentless.

Activision, please don't do this again... ever.
