Disney Dreamlight Valley Trick-or-Treat Event Haunted Well Guide

The Disney Dreamlight Valley Trick-or-Treat Event is back for 2025, but there's a brand-new quest to unlock a new item: the Haunted Well. This item is available only throughout the duration of this event, after which point, it'll likely leave until October 2026 (as all items have returned the year after).

If you're looking for how to complete the quest, we've got you covered! Here's what you need to know to complete the Haunted Well quest!

First, the start of the questline is located over in the Village Plaza — you'll need to find a red chest located somewhere in the area, which will drop a purple Memory Orb, revealing a puzzle for how to complete it. This image alone should give you everything you need to know, so keep a close eye on it!

There are several clues present here, which should give you the information you'll need. We'll break it down step by step to know exactly what you need to do:

The first clue is the location of the Haunted Well. While the general biome will be the same for everyone, the actual location of it should change, so highly decorated Valleys might need to go through editing mode to locate it. You can find the Haunted Well in the Forest of Valor — mine was in the entrance to the Frosted Heights!

Interacting with the well will pop up a menu that allows you to store items, where you'll need to add Candy. This is where the puzzle element comes into play, as the previous Memory will give us the hint that we need to know how many we need add.

It's a classic math puzzle: by completing the numerous equations, you can figure out how many of each type of Candy you'll need to add to the Well. Completing all three of the equations will let you know how many Red, Green, and Purple Candy you need to add to the Haunted Well.

Below, we'll share the math added, so if you want to try it yourself, avoid reading:

• The Green Candy is the first in the list, and it's 45 divided by three. You need 15 Green Candy for the Haunted Well; you can use this information in the next equation to understand what comes next.
• The Red Candy is one Green Candy (15) + two Red Candies for 35. By removing Green Candy (15) from 35, you get 20, and then you divide that by two (because there were two Red Candy in the image) to get 10 — you need 10 Red Candy to add to the Haunted Well.
• The final part of the equation is the Purple Candy. By subtracting Purple Candy (?) from Green Candy (15), we get Red Candy (10). This makes the equation 15-?=10, meaning the result is you need five Purple Candy for the Haunted Well.

In total, this means that you'll need:

• 15 Green Candy
• 10 Red Candy
• 5 Purple Candy

If you're short on Candy and can't afford to complete it, don't fret! Candy respawns every day, with two buckets of each colour appearing each day. Each bucket gives you two of its corresponding Candy type, so you should have plenty of time to get enough to complete the quest.

If you're reading this by the time it's late into October, don't fret — on the 31st of October, two buckets of each colour spawn each hour! Just keep farming and you should get there in no time.

Once done, you should get the Outdoors Furniture Item Haunted Well to add to your Valley! It's an interactable object that allows you to remove the crows, and you can buy more from Scrooge McDuck's Shop for 4,000 Star Coins!

You have until the 31st of October to complete the Haunted Well and the five Duties for the Trick-or-Treat Event!
