How to Change By 10 in DARK SOULS III Character Slider on Keyboard

Originally, DARK SOULS III was built for consoles, and it shows a lot in the development philosophy that the title follows. For one, some of the controls can be a bit clunky on keyboard and mouse if you don't know your way, and none of the key indicators change according to your input device, making it difficult to learn.

One of the most significant points of contention is the character creator, where changing how your Ashen One looks will be a bit difficult with the default sliders. Though it seems like you can slide it with the mouse, that's actually not possible, so don't waste your time, though you can still take advantage of the "Change by 10" prompt for RB and LB.

The unfortunate part is that there is no way to do so through the mouse alone — you'll need to do it with the keyboard, and those who prefer smaller ones might find it a bit infuriating. Instead, to change by 10, you need to use Shift and the left and right arrow keys accordingly, which will rapidly change and make character creation way less of a pain.

For those who use smaller keyboards (those without numpads and arrow keys), you can do so by using the FN keys plus WASD, seeing as those keys don't work on their own. So small-keyboard users will need to adapt accordingly (either by reformatting some of their keys to arrow keys or plugging in a controller for the character creator).
