How to Get Double Jump in Hollow Knight: Silksong
In Hollow Knight: Silksong, the double jump isn't a guaranteed ability, and in fact, it can feel pretty out of the way. The increased mobility is imperative for some of the hardest challenges in the game (hello, Rasher's Courier and Bile Water), so you'll want to find it before you start your overall adventure to explore.
To get the double jump item, named Faydown Cloak, you'll first need to have the Clawline ability located in the Citadel on Act 2. By the time you can actually get the Faydown Cloak, you’ll be relatively far into your adventure.
Where is the Faydown Cloak?

Located in the first location of the Citadel, the Choral Chambers, you'll need to go to the far left to a location called The Slab — finding the map here isn't important, as instead you'll want to go to the Bell Beast Station and continue left into the location called Mount Fay.
This location is a bit like the Path of Pain of Hollow Knight: Silksong. Here, you'll need to utilise a mixture of wall jumping and Clawline to climb, but the trick is that Mount Fay is quite a cold place, and being outside for too long does damage to you.
To help with the climb, you'll find numerous heat checkpoints that prevent the natural cold damage, so you'll need to keep your ascent until you unlock some of the checkpoints. There aren't that many for you to unlock, but the climb isn't too long and mostly requires proper use of the Clawline ability.
That's how to get the double jump in Hollow Knight: Silksong! Good luck with the Faydown Cloak.
