How to Rename Companions in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Disney Dreamlight Valley's Companions have gotten quite a bit of attention. Aside from being able to help pick up various resources, help you increase your inventory space, and come in pairs with you along your journey, they can also be renamed!

While this only applies to any non-Disney movie ones, which appear under the "Notable Companions", you can do this with all the others outside of this category. All you have to do is hover the cursor over the pet you want to rename and hit N. This will prompt a pop-up where you can write the nickname!

If you choose a companion who can't be renamed, you won't get the option. Instead, you'll see that you can right-click them to "Assign a Character"; this means they'll go and hang out with someone else!
