How to Get a Mount in My Time at Sandrock!

How to Get a Mount in My Time at Sandrock!

My Time at Sandrock is the second entry in the series, where players set off on a farming and life simulation adventure. This time around, they'll be heading for the city of Sandrock — a desert community that's struggling with everything from economic ruin to shortage of water.

As the game is all about collecting resources and finishing commissions for the town and its people, players will want a mount as soon as they can, but the feature unlocks when the Farewell Party mission is completed, and they receive a letter in their mailbox from Elsie.

The Wandering Y, the ranch run by Cooper and his family, offers three different types of mounts for players: horses, yakmel, and camels. These come in various colours and rarities, and players can either purchase or rent them out.

We wouldn't recommend renting them, as the areas around Sandrock aren't that far at the beginning of the game. Instead, the Gols can be used to save up for the Stable, which can be unlocked with:

  • 1,000 Gols
  • Five Steel Bars
  • Five Rubber Shells
  • 10 Hardwood Sticks

These items can only be acquired after unlocking the necessary Machines or via Scrap and quest rewards. Namely, players will need a Civil Furnace for the Steel Bars; a Processor, a Recycler, and Rubber Scrap for the Rubber Shells; and a Bronze Axe, a Processor, and Hard Wood for the Hardwood Sticks.

Once this is built, through Heidi's Construction Junction, mounts can be bought from Cooper's Wandering Y store!
