Access-Ability Summer Showcase 2025: COMING HOME

The final game shown off at Access-Ability Summer Showcase 2025 was a brand-new announcement! QUDICAL showed off COMING HOME, a retro slasher title where you'll need to defend your home from the evils that are outside.

Taking inspiration from the classic Five Nights at Freddy's, you'll need to watch cameras, barricade your doors, and be prepared to fight against the Sundown Rippers from claiming you as their next victim. You're their next target, and they are the prime suspect for the murder of your wife and your teenage son.

Manage the resources of your home to protect everything with the defence system, but be wary: the Sundown Rippers learn your tricks, your resources are limited, and relying on your gun's dwindling ammo is only a last resort. Can you survive being in their sights?

Here's what the team highlighted in the trailer about the accessibility features:

  • Directional closed captioning, accompanying all sound effects with a caption, including where it came from.
  • A high-contrast mode gives you a better time seeing the Sundown Rippers and differentiating them from the environment.
  • Collectible documents have clean-text variations for those who struggle to read in-game handwriting.
  • You can play the game with every input method or any combination: mouse, keyboard, and controller.
  • Every interaction that requires holding down a button can be changed to a toggle instead.
  • Configure overlays or disable them entirely.
  • Tweak the sound effects of a large number of options with sliders: master, music, sound effects, conspicuous sounds, jumpscares, and misophonia-triggering sounds. These can all be adjusted individually or outright disabled.
  • Persistent crosshair and a visualised gun accuracy.

COMING HOME is set to launch sometime in 2026!
