Wholesome Direct 2025: Fireside Feelings

Team Empreintes and The CoLab are bringing a nuanced and compassionate experience with their newly released game — that shadow dropped during the Wholesome Direct — called Fireside Feelings. Their goal is to have everyone find somewhere they can relax and share their stories and experiences while being safe.

This new approach to bringing more empathy to the world does so by asking questions and sharing the answers, which will be moderated and filtered to ensure the safety of others. Players will get to talk about their lives through the prompts — which can be funny or deep — and read the answers others have given.

While no direct interaction will happen in the community, everyone gets to tell their story and read others'in a safe way. To further care for the well-being of the players, there's an option to avoid certain topics.

In Fireside Feelings, players can customise their avatar and campfire, too. The former offers six different models, each with customisable colours; in the latter, players can choose accessories (such as wood planks, food, toys, etc.) to make their very own cosy campfire.

So, here's what you can expect from Fireside Feelings:

  • Tell your story and hear others' in a safe environment.
  • A variety of prompts to answer, from funny to deep questions.
  • Customise your character and campfire.
  • Hand-drawn and animated campfires to experience, each with different settings: from a forest to a sunset beach.
  • A progression system that will unlock more content, such as places, characters, and customisation.
  • Moderated and filtered answers for greater safety.
  • The ability to avoid certain topics.

If you enjoy games like Kind Words, this is a great title to check out! Fireside Feelings is available right now on Steam, as it shadow dropped during the Wholesome Direct.
