Access-Ability Summer Showcase 2025: Heartspell: Horizon Academy

Developed and published by Dire Kitten Games, Heartspell: Horizon Academy is a mixture of visual novel, dating simulation, and match-3 gameplay bringing in story-rich elements to it. As the newest student at the titular academy, you'll meet a group of fellow students, learn magic, and uncover dark secrets that could ruin the school you're attending.

It's a dating sim full of magic, bringing eleven main characters from varying fantasy races, including sirens, werewolves, fairies, and other students. In order to experience it all, you'll be offered the opportunity to experience it with a slew of accessibility features to make it available for everyone who'd like to partake.

• Challenging puzzles that can be adjusted in difficulty or disabled altogether and include no time pressure
• Font choices from PT Serif, Calibri, and Comic Sans, and font sizes to select from
• All the 280,000 words in the story are voiced by a talented cast of characters, meaning that you don't have to read to enjoy the narrative at all
• Arachnophobia mode
