Access-Ability Summer Showcase 2025: Trash Goblin
Trash Goblin recently launched from its Early Access state into 1.0, but that isn't stopping Split Milk Studios Ltd from joining showcases to feature some of their latest mechanics being added to the title! This wholesome, cosy shopkeeping experience has you taking on the role of a goblin who runs a shop and discovers, restores, upcycles, and sells trinkets.
With over 170 Trinkets and Accessories and thousands of combinations and variations to find, there are plenty of things to upgrade and sell as you build up your shop. Some of these elements — the cleaning, the upcycling, and more — are getting some minor rehauls to give more players the opportunity to partake.
In the Access-Ability Summer Showcase 2025, Trash Goblin shared the following new accessibility features for players:
- Better cleaning that highlights the grime that you'll need to get rid of, alongside highlighting the Trinket's edge when the sponge is hovering over it, ensuring that you know when you're actually cleaning your items.
- Navigate the shop with the arrow keys instead, also allowing you to control the camera movement speed to reduce any motion sickness.
- Toggle camera edge movement on or off.
- Rotate Trinkets with W, A, S, and D, also letting you choose the object rotation speed.
- A brand-new quest tracker so you can always revisit what you have to do and never lose sight of your next goal, even after long breaks.
- The quest tracker also includes the possibility to recall important customers, enhancing the value of the game, offering players to take their time when they need it.
- A new TrinketPedia, which keeps track of every trinket that you found, cleaned, upcycled, and sold. Completionist accessibility at its finest.
- No fail-states, time pressures, or skill gates (as was previously shown off in the last video).
- Several control modes for chipping and cleaning, including Click, Hold, and Hover.
- Sand Serif font that can be changed in size and display speed.
Trash Goblin was nominated for the game's accessibility at Develop:Star Awards' "Best In-Game Accessibility", but that doesn't mean it's the end for their accessibility journey, as they are working with their players to create even more options. If you're interested in checking out Trash Goblin, you can pick it up for £16.75!
