Access-Ability Summer Showcase 2025: Sunlight
Launched all the way back on the 14th of January 2021, Krillbite Studios' Sunlight is bringing in a slew of accessibility features to ensure that more players are able to enjoy it. Joining in on Access-Ability Summer Showcase 2025, the title already had accessibility options in the relaxing, slow-paced gameplay with no time constraints, and it now welcomes a new accessibility feature to ensure that more people can enjoy it.
As part of the trailer, Krillbite Studios showed off the new Audio Description system, which reads out loud the happenings on-screen or the elements selected. This also extends to gameplay elements, where a soft chime allows players to follow it to find flowers and are informed by the text-to-speech, which lets players know when they have reached one and to pick it up.
This should allow individuals with visual impairments to enjoy the game by following the radio-like chime to find flowers, pick them up, and enjoy the underlying narrative of the meditative experience. Sunlight is a short, 30-minute adventure that you can pick up now on Steam for £3.49.
