Day of the Devs 2025: Ratatan

If you were an avid gamer during the PlayStation Portable era, the name Patapon should be relatively familiar. This rhythm strategy title had the titular Patapons take on other armies and large monsters with the power of song. However, after a few sequels, these singing spear-slingers have been mostly quiet… until today! Unveiled at the Day of the Devs, Ratatan is bringing back the joyful musical energy to a new generation.

In this rhythm-based roguelike, you will lead your little army of Cobuns against dangerous foes and unlikely odds with the singular goal of reaching The Everafter. Order your units to move to the beat and decide when to move, when to stay, and when to retreat! Ratatan provides roguelike fun for solo players, but also features online co-op gameplay supporting up to 4 players and massive battles with over 100 characters!

Ratatan is set to release into Early Access on Steam starting on the 25th July 2025.
