Women-Led Games Showcase: Ministry of Order
of the upcoming narrative puzzle developed and published by VoltekPlay, Ministry of Order.
You work at a maternity ward in New Albion, and it's your job to sift through babies, their tags, and parent cards to match each child with their family. Between cases, colleagues will drop by, and you'll get to chat with them; these social moments will build up a relationship over time between enemies, friends, and even lovers... it all seems very normal, but it's not.
While some of them may be genuinely friendly people, others might be undercover government agents making sure you're loyal to the regime. The decisions you make each day will have results, and some can be dire, like vanishing friends and burnt documents. Things only get worse when you notice mysterious leads during work one day: will you decide to follow the orders or pretend you didn't notice? Be careful — you'll face the consequences of your choices if you're not.
Here's what you can expect from Ministry of Order:
- A seemingly normal job at a maternity ward.
- Simplified genetics puzzle where players match the babies to their parents.
- Follow the eerie commands or pretend nothing happened.
- Every decision will lead to a consequence, like vanishing friends to burnt documents.
- Socialise and connect to the in-game colleagues, befriending them, making them your enemies, or even romancing them.
- Among them, hide undercover agents that test your loyalty to the regime.
