MIX Summer Game Showcase: MOTORSLICE
Featured in last year's Guerrilla Collective (essentially the same showcase, just renamed), MOTORSLICE was revealed as a parkour title where you'll take on the role of a girl named P, using everything at her disposal to escape deadly traps and bring down gargantuan bosses. Developed by Regular Studio and published by Top Hat Studios, Inc., you'll set out into a large world to fight against heavy machines hellbent on killing you.
Mixing in elements from Prince of Persia and the Mirror's Edge series, you'll parkour inside (yes, INSIDE) the massive bosses to get to their core and solve problems the way you do best: with a chainsaw. But it's not all cogs, oil, and murder, as MOTORSLICE brings with it a slice-of-life narrative about a girl doing her job as she does best: brutally murdering machines and completing the job she was hired to do.
Here's what you can expect forMOTORSLICE's key features:
- Take control of "P", a girl hired to do one job that she does really well: kill deadly machines with her chainsaw.
- Parkour through the brutal post-apocalyptic world, mixing in combat encounters that'll test your agility.
- Use a wide array of movement abilities to engage with the environment: run, climb, slide, crouch, wall run, perform stunts, and utilise your chainsaw in unique movement opportunities.
- Fight all manner of machines: from smaller droids waiting to be obliterated by your chainsaw to enormous, intricate machines you'll need to bring down piece by piece.
- Brutal, fast-paced combat where you kill easily (as you should, wielding a chainsaw. Did we mention the chainsaw yet?), but you also die easily.
- Accompanied by a malfunctioning Orb Drone, you'll need to bring this place down — and its inhabitants. Whatever it takes.
If the brutal MOTORSLICE sounds like your type of game, then we've got good news! The MIX trailer gives us a look at the gameplay a bit more in-depth!
