Access-Ability Summer Showcase 2025: Soulblaze
For the Access-Ability Summer Showcase of 2025, developer and publisher Sword & Quill made an appearance with their upcoming title. Soublaze is a forthcoming creature collector roguelike where you'll capture animons to fight against the bosses in each region.
The title incorporates dice rolling into the gameplay elements, giving players increased bonuses depending on rolling doubles, matching colours, and the like. To make this in-depth experience more accessible, Sword & Quill will be adding accessibility options that will be added to, but are already robust.
Here are the accessibility options featured in the video:
- Text-to-speech functionality to help you know everything going on on the screen. This includes an in-depth look at all of the important factors and even visual descriptions for the animons.
- Accessibility to play with mouse, keyboard, gamepad, and touchscreen
- Full control over remapping
- For colourblind players, all colours are paired with icons while also offering recolouring options from UI categories, including animon elements, rarities, and positive or negative effects.
- Dyslexic font
- UI scale and text size
- Difficulty customisations, including how many dice the enemy has, incoming damage (including total invulnerability), outgoing damage (including one-shotting enemies), and even a 100% capture rate
If this brief look at Soulblaze has piqued your interest, the game has a demo available on Steam now for players to check out. It's set to come out sometime in the future, with "Coming soon" as its tag.
