PC Gaming Show 2023: Baldur’s Gate 3 Mashed Story Animation

In anticipation of Baldur’s Gate 3’s upcoming release, Larian Studios partnered with British animation channel and parody studio Mashed, in order to deliver a tongue-in-cheek retelling of the more unusual side that comes with adventuring in Faerûn. It’s not always daring good-deeds and a victorious battle against evil — sometimes it’s being on death's door and hiding out in the neck of the woods as the world slowly falls apart around you.

Everything that is shown in the animation, ranging from heroically battling devils from within the hells themselves, or nearly experiencing a total party wipe at the hands of a single frog, can currently be experienced first hand in the open beta for Baldur’s Gate 3. This beta can be accessed right now via Steam, ahead of the game’s release on 31st August, 2023 for Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
