Access-Ability Showcase 2026: Life Below
Developed by Megapop and published by Kasedo Games, Life Below is a new city-building title where players work underneath the waves to help restore coral reefs and collapsing ecosystems. The game released recently, on the 26th of May, and it even launched alongside a charity DLC in collaboration with WDC, Whale and Dolphin Conservation!
The game was featured in this year's Access-Ability Showcase, where we got to see what the team added to the game to make it accessible to as many players as possible. Here's what they covered:

- Various difficulty modes.
- Time controls.
- Settings to pause the game during critical moments or when the game is unfocused.
- Various informative tooltips.
- UI settings, such as transparency, scale, and motion.
- Camera and scroll sensitivity.
- Compatible with anything that the PC recognises as a controller.
- Can be played with just a mouse.
- Can be played with eye-tracking technologies.
- The ability to rebind with most actions.
- Motion-sickness settings.
- Input cooldown and stamp-style multi-selection.
- No quick-time effects or rapid button-pressing.
Whilst the team has put an emphasis on accessibility, there were some features that they couldn't figure out how to add: text-to-speech and high-contrast UI. The game can also only be set to stereo mode, and players cannot change the difficulty mode in the middle of the game.
