Southeast Asian Games Showcase: Am I Nima
Victoria Tran from Inner Sloth came to the Southeast Asian Games Showcase today and talked about her passion for helping fund games for smaller indie devs via the company’s fund Outersloth to help people get the opportunity to tell their stories. One of those indie teams who benefited from this is the family developers at Ho! Games, who showed off their debut title, Am I Nima.
Playing as the titular Nima, you’ve been trapped in the basement by your mum. You need to join together Nima’s thoughts in her brain to get clues and form new words. Your mum is gonna test you in order to make sure it’s really you, but your crafty brain linkage means that Nina can change her actions based on your chosen words. We saw some examples of her steering conversations with her mum, and also drawing pictures. It’s an interesting psychological trip, and a demo is already available on Steam.
