Women-Led Games SGF Showcase: Blue Ridge Hunting
Co-op hunting experience Blue Ridge Hunting by Jade Meadows and Six One Publishing was shown off on a trailer during the Women-Led Games SGF Showcase of 2026. The horror hunting experience will have players exploring the Appalachian Mountains, investigating documents, and hunting cryptids based on legends, eerie phenomena, and more.
The horror title offers a brief look at the gameplay that awaits players, including a glimpse at the co-op elements (though Blue Ridge Hunting is also playable solo) and the cryptid hunting. Players take on the role of an Appalachian Investigation Group that's hunting for the truth, facing against the intelligent cryptics in the zone that threaten to end their lives in an instant.

For those looking to play the game in co-op, intelligent monsters listen for couve chat and radio chatter, meaning that though communication is a crucial element for the humans to survive, it's also a dangerous task that might lure the very foes they seek to defeat. Each creature has different behaviours, all based on the various folklore creatures, so players will have to work together by gathering clues and learning more about the foes they're facing.
Blue Ridge Huntingis set to launch on Steam Early Access, and the trailer gives us a release window to look forward to: August 2026. The first chapter, "Which Side Are You On", will kick off the early game for a development cycle expected to last "about a year". Those looking forward to starting their adventure right away can check out the demo available on Steam right now!
