Summer Game Fest 2026: gen ATLAS

Developed by Fumito Ueda’s GenDESIGN studio, GenATLAS is an open-world action adventure about a robotic protagonist stranded on a wasteland planet covered in mechanical structures. You will explore the unique environments and fight enemies from a horde of small machines to ancient giant robots in the vein of Ueda’s own Shadow of the Colossus. 

The player will have access to firearms and platforming abilities like the jetpack to help them with scaling vertical structures and fighting towering enemies. But you will not be completely alone in those trials, having access to various vehicles and, most notably, a giant flying robot head able to attach itself to and take control of various dead machines like your own giant mechs to even things out.
