Women-Led Games SGF Showcase: From Ruins – A Detective Adventure

DigiTales Interactive has announced the team's return with the third narrative detective experience. Showing off From Ruins, we get to learn more about the experience and what we can look forward to during the Women-Led Games SGF Showcase.

From Ruins has players taking on the role of a detective who will need to solve increasingly difficult cases. To engage with the deduction-based gameplay, players need to gather clues and come to their own conclusions to solve a feud that started decades ago.

Building from DigiTales' previous titles, Lacuna and Between Horizons, players will experience the narrative while unravelling the story. Following the apocalypse that brought forth the end of civilisation, players get to know what remains of society and try to figure out what brought forth the fiery apocalypse.

The gameplay focuses on deduction-based cases, where players will have to use the information they gather to form their own conclusions, ponder the different clues, and solve the mystery. There's no fast-paced, moment-to-moment gameplay, nor does From Ruin require pixel-hunting for clues, combining items, or using quick-time events; it's an entirely deduction-focused title that'll test players' minds.
