Latin American Games Showcase 2026: Tempus Vitae
Whiteboard Games has announced its highly ambitious Tempus Vitae, shown off during the Latin American Games Showcase 2026. This title is a time-travelling first-person shooter metroidvania, where players take on the role of a time-displaced astronaut who will have to unravel the space station Theia.
As players take on the role of Alex, they’ll explore two versions of Theia — the war-torn version from the year 2185 and the post-apocalyptic one from 2385, set two hundred years after the war. They’ll need to embark on a journey through the world, mastering the time-travelling abilities, all to find the protagonist’s lost younger brother.
Tempus Vitae encourages players to use the time-travelling abilities to cleverly master the combat encounters. Travel between timelines to get a good shot at foes, freeze time to prepare various attacks whenever surrounded, and go between the present and the past to travel through walls that have been altered by the sands of time.
That’s not to say that there isn’t high-octane combat to be found, as the non-linear world invites players to battle with precision and intellect alike, exploring the interwoven narrative. Get to know NPCs, gather their quests, and then head back into Theia to battle formidable foes and change destiny.
Ready to face the consequences of time travel? Tempus Vitae is available for wishlist on Steam with a release window for 2027.
