Women-Led Games SGF Showcase: Short Short Fictions

Developers room6 and 密輸水産 alongside yokaze (who'll help the former publish the title) showed off Short Short Fictions during the Women-Led Games SGF Showcase. This experience is three games in one, offering a compilation of short retro titles for players to enjoy throughout their experience.

In the game, players attain a new console named NewWave, with three titles that they'll be able to experience: DON'T SAY YES, TO:NORTH, and IMMEMORIAL, each of which is a short retro-inspired title with its own unique gameplay mechanics and rules.

The titles all have different gimmicks with short run times. Here's what we know about the three:

• DON'T SAY YES is a highly rated five-minute-long experience where players aren't allowed to say yes. Players take on the role of a pilot whose spaceship crashed into the moon, and a strange being tries to make a deal with the dying pilot.
• TO:NORTH is a top-down adventure that was previously only available in Japanese. Players take on the role of an AI as they travel north, but they can never look south, as a strange shadowy being — and perhaps guilt — follows them through their ascent.
• IMMEMORIAL is the third title, though this one's an unknown experience that hasn'tbeen revealed aside from its name. Experience the new short game for the first time with Short Short Fictions!
