Summer Game Fest 2026: Final Fantasy VII Revelation

It’s been a long time in the making, but the end of the Final Fantasy VII remake is soon to be upon us. With the final battle against Sephiroth to stop him from unleashing a deadly meteor on the world imminent, Cloud and his ragtag team are readying themselves for a fight of the most epic proportions. 

Shown in a trailer at Summer Game Fest, Final Fantasy VII Revelation was announced to be the title of the third and final entry in the trilogy. The hybrid battle system is back with the real-time and strategic modes switchable as before, and summoning spells a-plenty once again. We didn’t just get a new trailer, though. We saw battle action with Cloud, Cid, Tifa, and Vincent, as well as an interview with some of the creators and voice actor Matt Mercer. It’s coming simultaneously to all platforms in the spring of 2027, completing the trilogy in the most spectacular way possible.
